The author, Donny C Davied, from http://www.thoughtprovokingpoets.com has been involved in writing a poetically styled, Short-story book concerning the events transpired and what the people endured on September Eleven, 2001.  The author’s journey began shortly after the event itself.  This book contains a collection of September Eleven Short-Story poetry written by Donny C Davied.  There are poems inside this book one may not expect; for instance, a poem called Mother Nature’s Response, which is self-reflective in that this poem portrays Man by his deeds and not thoughts. Its premise: If Man encompassed the values of evolution, he would then think of consequences.  He leans instead on religion to excuse his behavior thinking a Supreme Being made this planet only for him. He relies on external commodities including inventions, resources he steals from other organisms, and money to stop others from his actions; all this to avoid his lack of accountability as he selfishly destroys the land we walk on. Although, this is fictional poetry, Thought Provoking Poets and the author have made conscious effort in keeping the poems commenting on the event accurate.  Therefore, a difficult task indeed when writing on such a horrific event and trying to come out with a fictional poetry book but staying true to the event itself; nonetheless, the author is pleased to announce that not only was that achieved, but as well, the book took no political sides.  Its wish to remain non-partisan is in part what separates this book from other books concerning September Eleven.  Author, Donny C Davied believes pointing fingers at one, or an administration serves no purpose as it keeps us locked in the past.  Meanwhile our sworn enemies’ are continuously plotting our demise.  While this book deserves no sequel, the event and expressions of it will remain as a timeless piece.  This book is unique for several reasons: The book has taken great strides in looking for the good in people that came out of September Eleven.  Moreover, there was much good seen.  This is the only book the author is aware of that contains non-partisan short story poetry describing the event itself.Thought Provoking Poets hopes that this changed, optimistic, if you will, approach in addressing this topic will be met with approval from the readers.  There is by no means any offence intended or fingers pointed at any one, particular bureaucracy, or administration.

This September Eleven book of poems contains short story poetry reflecting the courageous men and woman, laypersons, military, policepersons, and firefighters that showed their heroic side when that atrocious crisis landed and his or her true colors shined.  All people that came forward regardless of title, men and woman whether death consequently resulted are treated and regarded today and tomorrow as heroic.  These people by his or her character and action saved our nation and ensured there would be a tomorrow.  This is a politically inspired, a poetically written book that we hope there will never be a sequel.  It is 2009 and we may never know how many other terrorist plots we have thwarted.  We may never know, but nevertheless, we will not rest until every terrorist, dead or alive is found.  Moreover, our list is not defined or confined to Osama Bin Laden or Al Qaeda.  It has now been expanded to include homegrown and foreign terrorists; simply put, any one, any entity, government sponsored, or not, that plans to cause destruction to our country are defined as terrorists today and only those individuals should be captured.  This is not a war against Islam or Muslims.  We are not at war with people from a different culture or religion.  Only the fanatics (that every religion has) we are after.  The jihad, their hostile campaigns are the enemies we claim and if they ever aim to test us, they will have to answer to our nations heroic side all gathered to ensure this history lesson would not be repeated.  Terrorists had their opportunity – September Eleven , 2001, and they will not get past our gatekeepers again.  They will never be strong enough, smart enough to go against our first line of defense: the heroes, they are the ones that saved our life on that day and since then heroes have taken on a new meaning.  Our heroes are ordinary people.

Like in Donny C Davied’s other writings his view does not reflect any administration for blame.  This country is in dire circumstances.  Every new administration takes on new dilemmas thus; it is not his desire to minimize people’s struggles by distracting their problems, which happens when people start pointing fingers.  He feels it is better to be part of the solution and not part of the problem.  Dwelling on the past will never turn our economy around.  This book is available now.
